The Way of
Reading a Space, #304

2008

- glass, sound, projector, wood
- dimensions variable

This piece deals with the concept

of a sound-maker and sound-

receiver for whom does not have

an access to the visual information

about what is making a noise.

Eyes scan through out a room

for where a noise of a bouncing

glass bead is coming from. Having

nothing but eyes to see, viewers’

attention focuses onto the eyes

and see a person bouncing the

bead through reflection on the

eyes.

On the other side of the room,

there is an actual glass bead. One can see an image of the man in the

video through the bead.

How can people get information

about an object without direct

engagement? Vision is not the

source of information inputs but is

collaborations of several different

perceptions.
